Mona has been drawing and painting since childhood. Encouraged by her father, she would sit at his side and together they would create drawings and paintings of his beloved North New England woodlands. As an adult she studied at the Rhode Island School of Design where she received a certificate in drawing and painting. She has continued to expand her knowledge by taking workshops in various mediums, including a workshop in Colorado with the Plein-air Painters of America. Mona also teaches classes in oil and watercolor painting for adults and children.
Mona served for many years as Gallery Director of the Lahaina Arts Society and was owner of The Art Center in Wailuku, Maui. Her work has been exhibited at the Honolulu Printmakers annual exhibit, Hui No-eau, the Mayor's Invitational Exhibit and at Viewpoints Gallery in the Great Makawao Paint-out juried show. Feature shows included Lahaina Arts Society, The Art School at Kapallua, and The Art Center of Maui.
