Aloha - About Us
The Lahaina Arts Society (LAS), on Maui, Hawaii, is a showcase and training ground for local artists. LAS has been at the center of Lahaina and its art scene since November 14, 1967. It is now the oldest art gallery in one of the largest art markets in the USA. Since 1969, the Society has been located in the Old Lahaina Courthouse, an historic building in the center of Lahaina, down by the harbor. The building was constructed to form the seat of government for Maui, Hawaii, in 1859.

Lahaina Arts Society is an organization dedicated to supporting local artists launching their careers around Maui. LAS maintains its gallery in the Old Lahaina Courthouse building and sponsors several outdoor Fine Art Fairs in Lahaina each month.
The Lahaina Arts Society Gallery is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. and is located at 648 Wharf Street, Lahaina, next to the historic Banyan Tree.
The Lahaina Arts Society charity programs have been in existence for over 30 years. However, in 2018, LAS separated our charity programs into an independent organization, Lahaina Arts Guild. The Guild currently offers free weekly children’s art classes in Maui County, annual scholarships awarded to high school students each year, as well as monthly art classes started in 2019 at King Kamehameha III Elementary School.
